The Capitec B2C Call Centre Consolidation involved the refurbishment and repurposing of the former Liberty Buildign in Centruy City to create a modern, centralised call centre. The development consolidated several previously dispersed call centre operations into a single purpose designed facility, improving operational efficiency, collaboration and employee experience.
The project included the complete internal stripping and refurbishment of the existing office floors and transforming the building to accommodate approximately 2000 occupants, compared with the original design occupancy of around 1200 people. The upgrade facility provide modern office accommodation, training facilities, staff amenities and support spaces designed to promote productivity, comfort and operational resilience.
Power Partners was appointed to provide comprehensive electrical, electronic, mechanical and fire engineering consulting services that included:
- Electrical reticulation, small power distribution and lighting upgrade;
- Mechanical ventilation and air‑conditioning systems for large-scale call centre, offices, meeting rooms and training facilities;
- Modifications to water services to accommodate increased ablution facilities and higher occupant densities; and
- Rational fire design and associated fire protection and fire smoke ventilation systems.
The successful delivery of the project created a modern, high-capacity corporate workplace that supports Capitec’s growing customer operations while providing a safe comfortable and efficient environment for employees.
